House was as described, very well maintained and all the amenities you could wish for.

Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet stay in an historic town

Most enjoyable stay while one of us was working in Canterbury.

Just right for two of us with a couple of dogs as well.
Peter is a very welcoming and informative host with an excellent knowledge of the local area.

Beds are super-comfortable! Sandwich is a very interesting and attractive little town to wander round.

Highly recommended and we plan to return at a later date.

Peter was a great host, making sure that we had everything we needed.

He gave us some great tips for places to go to whilst we were there and was always very easy to get in contact with before and during our stay.

We left wishing that we could have stayed longer at the cottage

It was a pleasure to stay at Peter's place.

His apartment is very cosy with all the equipment you need for staying couple of days.

Peter is lovely and provide everything you need including great advice on activities in town and in the area.

We had a good stay at Peter's lovely house.

The house is well situated for town, walks and the sea side.

The house is clean and organised and Peter has loads of local information to help you get around!.

June 2016

We had a great time a Peter's cottage, which is a lovely place to stay.

The weather was fantastic and Peter provided a BBQ along with charcoal and firelighters, which is a great touch and greatly appreciated.
The cottage's lane is very narrow so there's no traffic noise but parking is really easy, close by and free using the permit Peter provides.

We'd never been to Kent before and Sandwich is lovely and there's loads to see locally, including walking up the coast to see the seals (ask Peter for directions).

We spent 8 nights and would definitely recommend both Buttermilk Cottage and the Sandwich area for a holiday

June 2016

Buttermilk Cottage was charming, immaculate and wonderfully quiet.
Peter was very helpful and insisted on picking us up from Ramsgate station so we didn't have to change trains from London.
He said it would 'save us an hour'.
On the drive back to Sandwich Peter gave us an enthusiastic history of the area and offered some superb eating/drinking recommendations.

Having made sure we had everything we needed, he then let us get on with it.

A perfect host and a perfect stay.

May 2016

We used Buttermilk Cottage as overflow accommodation over the weekend that our elder daughter got married.
The cottage was within walking distance of both the church and reception venue, making it ideal.

The cottage was perfect for two couples who stayed with a wonderful kitchen, that both the girls regretted that they did not make use of, the perfect bathroom and even an outside courtyard to make the most of the hottest day of the year, so far.

Even the Sandwich Food Fayre added to the wonderful time spent here. Peter had kindly left some provisions in the kitchen for weary travellers, even if we had only come a couple of hundred yards from preparing the reception venue before the big day.

Peters cottage is perfect, exactly as described and extremely well decorated and equipped, we were extremely impressed, he has clearly made a huge effort to present it as an extremely comfortable place to stay, everything went smoothly and we had a great stay.

I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone wanting a stay in the area, it's perfectly placed for easy walking round sandwich and parking was easy and free with the permit provided by Peter, absolutely 5 star accommodation

Thank you Peter for making our brief stay easy-going and enjoyable.
Everything was as advertised, and the cottage was charming, well equipped and very comfortable.
Even down to having garden-chairs to sit out and enjoy an evening G&T ...very civilised.

The cottage is in the heart of the town with all the pubs, sights and restaurants just minutes away. It's a good base to explore this lovely area. We will heartily recommend the property to all.

Beautiful cottage with all the amenities and necessary equipment supplied, even bedding & towels! Very clean and well taken care of house.
We were welcomed by the owner who offered advice and tips on the local area and who was kindly flexible with our arrival time - this was very much appreciated.

I would definitely recommend this cottage for a short or long stay. Beautiful village and surrounding area, and a comfortable bed!

Peter was great - very kind, welcoming, helpful.

The place is also absolutely gorgeous!

The location of the town was great though the cottage is on a tiny street, so loading/unloading luggage will be tough if you have a large vehicle.

Otherwise it was absolutely wonderful!! Thanks so much Peter.
